Elyssa Czynski is the Digital Marketing and Communications Manager at Entertain Impact. She has an MA from NYU in Media, Culture and Communications, and a BA from Hampshire College in Multimedia Journalism and Media Studies. A hip-hop head and Chicagoan, Elyssa wrote each of her two theses about Chicago-native rappers Chance the Rapper and Kanye West. Elyssa is passionate about the crossroads of pop culture and social impact, particularly the role music plays as a tool for change. Her expertise is with digital strategies but works on all aspects of projects from start to finish.
Elyssa’s previous experience includes journalism, film, publicity and nonprofit industries. Prior to moving to New York, Elyssa worked at Inspiration Corporation, a nonprofit that offers professional, educational and social services to Chicago’s homeless population. She also wrote for the hip-hop blog, Fake Shore Drive, the online music magazine, Pop ‘stache, and LGBTQ newspaper Windy City Times.
In her free time, Elyssa enjoys going to concerts, trying new restaurants and walking around Brooklyn with her French Bulldog Yoda.
